Men try to dissuade me from everything Love bids me do. They don’t understand it, and I can’t explain it to them. I must live out what I am.

Reared on the idea that love means sharing everything, pity the partners who make the grave error of revealing who else they fancy.

Rather be considered an ungrateful asshole, than be caught up in the vicious circle of reciprocity of favours, both asked and unasked for.

I had a bird once. Love of my life, she was. Fucked it up, of course. I thought there’d be time. Turns out there’s just road. Long unpaved, potholed. Read that once in a book. Go and get her, pal.

    Not just fornication..

Why do I like Californication. It’s not just the fornication.

I can identify with Hank. We’re both overflowing with darkness, yet are eternal optimists at heart. To really hurt us, stab at that optimism, that confidence. It hurts far more than a kick in the face.

And, we both are so quick at saying good bye, yet so bad at letting go. That hurts too.

Also, the fornication. I like the fornication bit of the series too ;)
