Spectacles have a huge design flaw – can’t find them, without using them :/

Kili aftermath: The toenail that I’d been told will come off is only 40% off. The one I’d been told will heal, is 90% off.

Times like this, I want to move back, get a small place away from friends, family, well-wishers and society, where I can live in peace and poverty with just my dog, my cycle and my work.

Someone out there doesn’t want me to eat healthy.

    For lunch today:
Went to Subway – it had been burgled and was under renovation
Went to Waitrose’s Salad Bar – cleaned out except for potatoes and tomatoes
Went to Sandwich sections at Greggs & M&S – barely half a dozen variants available, none appealing.

Finally, gave up and picked up a Big Mac from McDonalds. Made it without cheese :|

It’s 5:30 AM and I’m still awake. Spent half the night reading on greader and, just as sleep started to envelope me, got an invite to Google+ in my mailbox. For the last hour or so been creating my profile and testing out the features.

Like it so far, perhaps this will become my alternative to Facebook (quit 2.5 yrs back) and Twitter (been inactive for almost 2 months now).

    Thanks Harry prah!

P.S.: Missing my Nexus One even more, what with the G+ app on android.

Love the rain in LDN these days – it pours well, more like the monsoon back home than the dreary, fickly drizzle this city usually gets.
I love the sun – always have, but more so in LDN since I know I’ll soon be spending months in a row begging for a good sight of it.

The rain, accompanied by those loud thunderstorms and lightening, wrecked my plans for a century ride to Brighton today. Still, finding it really hard to diss it. In fact, wishing for some more… rather lots more… before a dry day tomorrow :)

Bah, I’m always For dreary weather and the one time I actually complain, you wax lyrical on it. :-/

:) … why did you complain about this weather? … and when?

As for weather, I don’t mind the rain one bit, in fact really love it. Rain or sun are both good. It’s the dreary, dark grey, short winter days that bug the hell out of me! :/

Spent 9 quid on two cycling magazines. Spent half an hour figuring how to hide them from the partner. :|

Am sure partner will be understand, especially if it stops you whining about the bad days to come. :P Unless she agrees with you, in which case you should be buying chocolate.

Huh, that was supposed to be ‘understanding’. The sun is addling my brains, I tell you.

Hey, stop blaming the sun! You’re scaring the good chap away… :(

He seems to be beaming happily the more abuse I direct at him, so you needn’t worry. Bah, er, humbug, all that. :P

Just realised that even the marked ‘Live’ news on BBC is sometimes delayed by at least 15 minutes.

Barack Obama’s convoy passed in front of me as I was cycling back from Marylebone some time back and BBC News is showing it on TV right now as Live news.

In other news, cycled to High Wycombe today – only 60kms but about 500m climbing over 2-3 spots. Didn’t have the time or energy to cycle back. Really need to work on my climbing muscles :|

    I need to start cycling.

For my sanity, if not for the body.

Feeling too stale.. too bland.. too devoid of emotion and interest these last few weeks.

Need to get out on the road and feel the air again…

Need to feel the pain in legs, a sore ass and the cold wind on face … to feel the beauty of the ride…

I need to start cycling. Soon.
